The course does not return to the clubhouse after the 9th hole. The greens and fairways were in good shape on my visit. It is uphill and the sloping green will challenge you to make par. The short par 4 on the back nine plays much more difficult than the length. You'll certainly need a second shot to put you in position to hit down to the green below. You need to hit blindly to a very narrow fairway. The par 5 dog leg left on the front nine is extremely difficult. As you gain course experience your level of play here will likely improve. The first time you play here will certainly be more difficult. There are lots of elevation changes and many shots need to be hit blindly. Next week the remaining tee boxes and bunkers will be fixed, and in November, pipes under the course will be repaired.SkyView plays fairly short from both the white and blue tees but the relatively high slope will convince you the course is very challenging. The renovations will keep the Donald Ross design intact. Work began in January, and crews have removed 110 trees, repaired all 18 holes, fixed several tee boxes, replaced bunkers, re-grassed four airways and made basic updates in the clubhouse.
